Piedmont Park with Chidiebere + Chidimma
I hung out in Piedmont Park with Chidiebere + Chidimma. Cool, right? Actually, let me start from the beginning! I’ll never forget a text message I received from my best friend’s wife saying that she’d passed my information along to one of her sorority sisters at a chapter meeting. I replied, “Cool! Thank you!”. A few days later I received a call from Chidimma. She said that she and her fiancé were looking to have some engagement photos done. At the time, she was finishing up a medical school rotation at the George Washington University, and her fiancé was finishing up his Ph.D out in the Pacific Northwest. We decided on shooting in and around National Airport as they spent SO much time there throughout their years dating.
The photos were fantastic and I received another call wondering if I would be okay photographing their wedding in Atlanta. To be honest, I was probably more excited than Chidiebere and Chidimma! Atlanta has always been one of those American cities that I’ve long adored. The chemistry between these two during the engagement session was contagious, so I knew the wedding was going to be a grand time! As expected, the wedding was everything and more. I’ve been a fan of #TeamChidi since! You can have a look at their photos here!
Just a few months ago, I checked my email and Chidimma was emailing to let me know they were expecting their first child! She also asked if I was up for returning to Atlanta for a little pre-baby photography session. OF COURSE! DUH! I flew down on a crisp November morning, and met two of my favorite people at Piedmont Park. If you aren’t familiar with the park, it’s only been in EVERY movie and show that has filmed in Atlanta. As usual with these two, I was too happy to photograph them. Chidimma was radiant in her custom made robe. Dr. Chidiebere was pretty handsome as well!
On December 22, 2017, Miss Natachi Isabelle Chidimma Abanulo, was born! Cheers and a million blessings to Chidiebere and Chidimma! I am forever #TeamChidi! Thanks to Nakeia and the Duke (University) Deltas for making this connection possible!
